Being Different

For the past few meetings we have been visited by different speakers from different areas, with different perspectives and each with a unique experience and story to tell but with each story that comes with lessons and realizations that they freely share with us in order for to grow and mature. They tell us stories like being open with your freedom of expression telling us that in it is ok to show youre whole body no matter what shapes and sizes there are as long as you are rightfully delivering the message to these people that you want to reach. This freedom of expression is usually shun and used in methods that deliver the wrong message to the people that see these women naked in posters. The message that they would want to be heard and delivered are usually ignored because when people look into adds like these they are being driven in lust not information, they tend to focus on the pictures of these naked women instead of the message being delivered to them. That is one of the problems i see with the way PETA delivers their messages is that they specificaly choose these type of ideal women who would be lusted mostly by men who would just ignore the message being delivered. This for me is an ineffective way of delivering to the people their message and purpose. The way that they deliver their message is not wrong at all but the way that they show these women at these ads or the way they choose these women when the point of all of this is taht no matter how big or small you are you would have the freedom to tell them your thoughts thru your body. While another speaker told us not to be afraid of doing things that you want or taking a risk with your life, no risk no gain, and right now he he does what he loves best and that is traveling to places that I dont even know exists and showing it to the world. He works in a show that feautures these uniqe and wonderfull places. He took a risk by leaving everything he knew and taking a risk and living in Boracay with no money and no place to stay at all and instead he coped with it and found a way to live there. That risk that he made took great courage that i wish to attain if I ever want to do something like this. All these things that they told us are very unique and inspiring with the challenges and complications involved with doing all of these are a lot but if you ever accomplish some of these feats it would change anyone I am sure of that. If these are the things that I need to do right i dont know, to take a leap of faith and see where it would take me is very scary indeed but maybe in the future I would have the strength to do it without anything holding me back.
